"Battle" Stamps Selling Rapidly
Six Special Windows at Main P. O. in Operation
Lexington-Concord commemorative stamps were placed on sale at the main postoffice, some branch postoffices, at Lexington, Concord, Concord Junction and Washington, D. C., yesterday, and were being bought at a rapid rate by commercial and amateur philatelists and othres prompted by curiosity. Six special windows were put into operation at the main postoffice to accommodate the seekers after the new issue, and stamps were being sold in large quantities. One window was opened for sale of the issue at midnight Friday night, and before daylight had disposed of $100 worth.
