Photographs as well as works of art form part of the Emerson iconography in the Concord Free Public Library. These two images of Emerson are drawn from the library’s extensive photographic holdings, which document Emerson’s appearance at various times in his life, his home, his family and friends, and the Concord landscape that he knew.
