Concord, April 19—In spite of the rain and cold, thousands of men, women and children motored through Lexington and Concord today, and paid at least a flying visit to the battlegrounds where 150 years ago were fought the first military engagements of the Revolution. Only a few left their cars for close inspection of the monuments, but, considering the weather conditions, the number of visitors was surprising. Many persons went by train.
