News Clipping - The Boston Post (1925)

Title

News Clipping - The Boston Post (1925)

Description

A news clipping from the Boston Post describing the growing anticipation among stamp collectors for the commemorative Lexington-Concord stamp.

Transcription:
Rush for Stamps of Concord Fight
Philatelists all over the United States are showing extraordinary interest in the forthcoming issue of stamps commemorating the battle of Lexington and Concord 150 years ago and have flooded the local postoffice for "first" cancellations. Large and small money orders accompany the requests. This issue of stamps is to be sold only at Boston, Cambridge and Lexington, and Postmaster Baker has arranged to carry out in exact detail as far as possible all requests of the nation-wide army of stamp collectors.
